the what (the part of the recipe when i give you a backstory):

i'm someone who really likes to have as much customization as possible but I'm also really lazy, so I want it to be easy as well. one thing I really are cute little pictograms that show little things that are related to the text. basically emojis, but vintage. before to get cool little picture's i'd have to add <img src="/images/emojis/heart_emoji.png"> to whatever i'm writing and that's pretty long and hard to remember! and with aria labels or alt text it get's even longer, making writing stuff with a flare just one bit more annoying.

the why:

theyre cute and cool and add personality to whatever you're writing.

the how:

basically, what I'm going to do is put the ::before pseudo-element in front of an i element. (i don't know why everyone uses that element for that, maybe it's because it's short?)
